About My Clients
My clients know that I will be straightforward with empathy. I believe that people are inherently resilient and compassionate. Tapping into inner strength and self-compassion can be challenging, however, making space for yourself and your inner-questions is the first step toward creating joy and fulfillment.
My Background and Approach
I believe that a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is key to true growth and endeavor to create a safe, non-judgemental environment in which clients can feel comfortable exploring their values, behaviors, experiences and their relationships. I am here to listen openly and help you disentangle, identify and prioritize what truly matters. You are here to grow! I earned my BA from Vassar College and my PhD and MS degrees in Social and Personality Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As a result of my background in psychology, I keep up-to-date on research, frequently applying best practice to inform my clients’ journeys. I am currently completing the Masters of Mental Health Counseling Program at Pace University. Beyond my clinical work, I’ve taught college-level courses, led trainings and workshops and currently run a women’s leadership practice centered on personal power.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an Asian American woman who has worked in the field of psychology for over a decade, I am here to empower you to be your best self and pursue joy and fulfillment. I strive to help clients see themselves and co-discover the best path forward with a straightforward attitude, compassion and empathy. My areas of expertise include self-discovery, relationship issues, parenting, sex therapy, racial identity, life transitions, positive psychology, anxiety, and leadership.
