About My Clients
I’m a therapist specializing in PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I’ve worked extensively with veterans and their families and would be honored to meet you and support you in navigating life’s challenges with care and understanding.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Tarleton State University. While completing my studies, I worked full-time as a social worker with the local mental health authority in Waco, Texas. This experience grounded me in the realities of the work and gave me the opportunity to support individuals from many different backgrounds. I’ve been working in the mental health field for nine years now. My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Logotherapy. Together, these approaches help us explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while also uncovering meaning and purpose in the challenges you’re facing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I was raised in a Christian church and experienced both the joys and the challenges that can come with it. I’m passionate about helping people release the guilt and shame that may have been placed on them; potentially by the church itself, by parents or by society, so they can connect more deeply with themselves, their community, and their understanding of God.
