About My Clients
It's my commitment to help people embark on and process though the life changes. As trust builds in the therapeutic relationship, areas for growth are identified that we will collaborate in a process to understand better. Ultimately, I strive to support my clients toward integrating their sense of self and improving their quality of life. Creating a safe space where individuals and families can begin to emotionally heal and learn how to sustain healthy, meaningful relationships is my priority.
My Background and Approach
I've my master's degree in clinical counseling, with trauma studies from Chestnut Hill College. Over the last 15 years, I've worked both in hospital and community behavioral health programs , where I treated clients in group, individual, and family therapy. My training is on attachment-based, play, eco-systemic family, mindfulness-based, and trauma-focused cognitive therapies. Prior to graduate study, I studied fine arts with a focus in acting, which served as a foundation for my interest in creative modalities and therapeutic expression. My personal practice of yoga and mindfulness enhances my therapeutic approach and reinforces my understanding of the impact stress has on the body.
