About My Clients
Hour to hour, I see lots of different people, all of whom are oriented to their families. I see Dads who are struggling with their own mental health in dealing with behavioral issues in their children. I see folks under the weight of the desire to be pregnant. I see postpartum parents. I see mothers who have lost their babies. I see families. I see couples. I see individuals struggling to process complex relationship traumas within their own families.
My Background and Approach
Years working in schools as a teacher and school counselor prepared me to work with children and adolescents on behavioral, social and emotional issues. Working with this population frequently led me to working with families and parents, which became a passion. I specialize in perinatal mental health, grief/loss, parenting/coparenting, depression, anxiety and identity matters. My goal as a therapist is to help my patients rediscover joy in everyday interactions and feel successful in their relationships, school and work. I am passionate about helping my clients understand how their intentions, assumptions and learned patterns affect their relationships. Mainly, I love working with people on their family life.
