About My Clients
I see adults and seniors via telehealth across Colorado. My top focus areas are insomnia and sleep disruption (using gold-standard, evidence-based treatments like CBT-I), adjustment to chronic medical conditions (like chronic pain, diabetes, and cancer), and stress management. I also have specialized training in trauma and occupational stress with military personnel, first responders, healthcare workers, and high-performance professionals.
My Background and Approach
My approach is structured and collaborative; I'm not a therapist who sits quietly and reflects your questions back at you. We work together with a clear direction, and you'll always know what we're doing and why. I draw primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), including specialized CBT for insomnia, nightmares, chronic pain, and other sleep and health concerns. Additionally, I draw heavily from Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These aren't just theoretical frameworks; they're research-backed tools that translate directly into changes you can make in your daily life. I adapt my approach to you. If you're a high-achiever who wants data and structure, we work that way. If you're someone managing a health condition and just need space to breathe and rebuild, we work that way too. What stays consistent is the evidence base, the respect for your autonomy, and the focus on outcomes that matter in your actual life, not just in the therapy room.
