About My Clients
My clients are often thoughtful, self-aware individuals or couples who feel disconnected, stuck in old patterns, or longing for deeper emotional connection. They may be curious about breathwork, somatic awareness, or simply sensing that insight alone hasn’t been enough. They’re open to slowing down, tuning inward, and discovering how presence can create real change in their relationships and inner lives.
My Background and Approach
I began my professional journey in the United States Air Force, where I learned grounded presence, adaptability, and the importance of connection under stress. After my service, I spent 15 years living and working in the rainforest as a Christian missionary and school counselor, supporting children, families, and communities through education, mentorship, and emotional growth. These experiences shaped my deep respect for resilience, relational connection, and the healing that emerges through presence, community, and attunement. I now practice as a marriage and family therapist, integrating Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with breathwork and experiential, body-centered approaches. My work supports individuals and couples in moving beyond insight alone—helping them feel, embody, and transform their emotional experiences. I specialize in relational and embodied therapy for those drawn to deeper, integrative healing that reconnects mind, body, and emotion.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My path as a therapist has been shaped by service, global experience, and a deep respect for the body’s innate capacity to heal. My life and treatment philosophies are deeply intertwined. In both, I’m guided by the intention to live in holistic harmony—within myself, in relationship with others, and in connection to nature and all of life. I believe this harmony comes through conscious awareness, which requires presence, discipline, and a willingness to keep awakening to love and connection. In my therapeutic work, these same values come alive through compassion-based practice. I see every person as inherently whole, capable, and worthy of love and connection. Compassion and presence, in my experience, has the power to awaken us from patterns of unconscious living, self-protection, and disconnection into a state of empowerment, choice, and safety. This mirrors the natural design of the nervous system—when we feel safe and seen, we naturally move toward connection, healing, and love.
