About My Clients

Maybe you're navigating depression, anxiety, perfectionism, low self-esteem, chronic illness, or relationship challenges. Or perhaps you're looking for couple or family therapy to support you and your loved ones during a period of conflict, disconnect, or change. In therapy, we can find ways to turn toward each other, strengthen connections, and build solutions. I work with couples, families, chosen families, and individuals of all ages.

My Background and Approach

You are the expert in your own life. My role is to be curious about who you are and collaborative about where you want to go - not to hand you a formula. I use systemic and multicultural lenses to understand you in the full context of your family, culture, values, and unique experiences. In therapy, we can identify concrete steps that create real, felt change. We might incorporate tools for mindfulness, communication, or self-understanding. I draw from solution-focused brief therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, and the Gottman Method. Above all, I want therapy to feel genuinely useful for your specific goals. We'll work together to identify your hopes and find a path forward that actually fits.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that therapy is a really unique place where we can build authentic connection and trust as we explore and amplify the strengths, resources, and stories that make you who you are. I am LGBTQ+-affirming, and I center cultural humility in my work. This means that I deeply value getting to know you and what is important to you. Therapy is a place where we can talk openly about the identities, values, and experiences that shape your life. With my background in special education and early education, I am also deeply committed to supporting children and teens, and I truly value the perspectives that young people bring. In my free time, you'll find me hiking, backpacking, knitting, reading, attempting a puzzle, or playing guitar and banjo. If you have any questions or would like to work together, please reach out - I'd love to hear from you!
