About My Clients
Life is a journey full of unexpected emotional twists and turns that can be challenging to navigate. Fortunately, you don't have to face these challenges alone. Having a safe and supportive environment where you can learn healthy coping skills is crucial to improving your ability to handle life's stressors. Therapy can make a significant difference in your overall well-being, allowing you to dedicate more time to enjoying life's beautiful moments.
My Background and Approach
I consider it a great honor and privilege to assisted individuals in their mental health journey for the past fifteen years. My style has been described as compassionate, kind, and supportive. As a therapist, it's essential to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can work towards their goals. I identify myself as a behavioral therapist but also use various modalities, including skills development training and conflict resolution, to assist clients in achieving their individual goals. It is my goal to help clients improve their interpersonal relationships, self-care practices, and ability to cope with and manage the stressors of life healthily and productively. By fostering these skills, clients can learn a greater sense of emotional well-being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am not immune from life's challenges because I am a therapist. I believe that life experiences have helped me become more compassionate toward people who are hurting. My education, training, and professional expertise provide the tools for me to counsel individuals and families. It is an honor to be a part of a client's healing process. One professional accomplishment that I am most proud of is that in 2009, as the Program Coordinator, at Mountain Lakes Behavioral Healthcare, I created and implemented the Jackson County location’s first Child/Adolescent Day Treatment Program. In 2019, the program celebrated ten years of service to children with mental health concerns. Sharing awareness and educating people about Pernicious Anaemia (PA), an autoimmune disease, caused by a lack of intrinsic factor in the body, is often overlooked or misdiagnosed. It causes severe Vitamin B12 Deficiency (B12d) and without the proper treatment, PA will result in death.
