About My Clients
I’ve spent much of my career working with gifted, creative people—artists, entrepreneurs, writers, and visionaries. Helping them clarify their vision, move past blocks, and bring their ideas to life is some of my most meaningful work. I’ve helped clients publish poetry, start businesses, finish degrees, and redefine their identity. As a therapist and a creative person myself, I offer both lived experience and practical tools for growth, direction, and creative breakthrough.
My Background and Approach
If you’ve found your way to this website, you’re probably looking for a therapist—someone to help you make meaningful changes in your life. That alone is a beautiful, brave choice. Though I’m based in Auburn, Alabama, most of my clients are seen remotely. I believe in meeting people where they are—especially busy students, professionals, and retirees. You’d be surprised how effective phone therapy can be. It’s accessible, efficient, and deeply human. I come from a strong creative and literary background. I’m a published poet, playwright, and narrative-based therapist. I often integrate storytelling, metaphor, and meaning-making into my work. I’m also a mother of four grown children and understand the demands of parenting, womanhood, and building a creative life alongside family. My dual careers have shaped my therapeutic approa
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’ve lived what I ask of others. I’ve raised four children, pursued a dual career as a writer and therapist, and stayed engaged with the world around me. I’ve long been an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, civil rights, and those whose voices are too often unheard. I marched on Washington, supported reforms to our social welfare systems, and worked closely with individuals facing cognitive and developmental challenges. I’ve spoken out against war and stood for global cooperation, the liberation of women worldwide, and the continued fight for dignity—from classrooms in Iraq to Rosa Parks’ seat on that Montgomery bus.
