About My Clients
If you've made it here, you're probably ready to ask for and accept help. This is one of the hardest things you'll have to do and I want you to take a moment to appreciate your own courage. I won't promise it'll be easy from here on out, there are certainly challenges along the way, but I can promise my commitment to your goals. Whether you feel increasing anxiety, depression, grief, or challenges, I'm here to provide the space and tools you need to connect with yourself.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Montclair State University and a Masters in Professional Counseling from Seton Hall University. I even tacked on a school counseling certificate there. I currently hold a Professional Counseling License in the state of New Jersey. I've worked with a range of populations and groups. Drawing from humanistic and cognitive behavioral techniques, I help clients navigate a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, trauma, and life transitions. I take an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring my methods to meet the unique needs of each adult, couple, or teen.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As someone with experience as a therapy client for almost 15 years, I have a deep understanding of what it's like to be on the other side of sessions. Transitioning to being a therapist almost 4 years ago felt both unnatural and natural for me. I continue to learn every day with each session and dedicate myself to be adaptable through the inevitable changes throughout client's lives and the profession. I appreciate the power one hour a week can have, and I am mindful in my approaches. I believe my job is to encourage client’s to believe and unearth their knowledge and power that is intrinsically there. I value honesty, authenticity, self-exploration, and respect for all human beings. I'm aware of the compassion, understanding, and dependability required for client's to be vulnerable, express their courage, and feel safe.
