About My Clients

My ideal clients are looking to better manage their mood, anxiety, health habits, work identity, relationships, cultural or other adjustments. I especially enjoy helping clients with boundary-setting, acceptance, self-actualization, conflict resolution, and overcoming life's challenges -- mental, emotional, and physical. Adults of all ages are welcome, regardless of racial identity, gender, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or other history or life experience.

My Background and Approach

I am cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, strength-based, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and collaborative. I believe no challenge is too great for us to manage as a team. Even if you don't yet believe you can cope with specific challenges, that's okay. I believe you have a lot of strengths. I want to work with you to realize those strengths until you get where you want to go. My goal is to support you in accomplishing your goals, using my skill set and experience earned from more than a decade of clinical exposure. I've served clients with a mental health focus since 2013, a public health focus since 2010, and a medical focus since the 1990s. I am licensed in Massachusetts as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC #10333), with a M.A. in Mental Health Counseling & Behavioral Medicine from the Boston University School of Medicine, and a M.P.H. concentrating in Health Management from Drexel University.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In my personal as well as professional life, I pursue self-actualization through creativity, productivity, mindfulness, and freedom from suffering. I'm all about keeping up with regular self-care, pursuing diverse interests that enrich me as a whole person, and contributing to my community in a manner that is authentic to my priorities. My local nonprofit of choice is Animal Rescue League of Boston, but I also support the Lupus Foundation, Alzheimer's Association, and Pajama Program. Some social platforms I've supported include the Women's March, the March For Science, and BLM... with hopefully more to come! I believe that while everyone needs help sometimes, everyone deserves help and understanding always.
