About My Clients
Do you feel like you’re holding everything together while quietly falling apart? Maybe anxiety shows up in your body, grief feels heavy, or old experiences keep resurfacing when you least expect them. You might be the one others rely on, yet unsure who supports you. If you are tired of surviving and ready to feel grounded again, I encourage you to give therapy a try. Together, we build tools to heal, set boundaries, and reclaim your sense of self.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, somatic, and brain-based. Trauma lives in the body and nervous system, not just in thoughts. In therapy, we focus on understanding how your brain and body respond to stress and how past experiences may be shaping your reactions today. I support you in learning and integrating somatic practices, mindfulness, and cognitive strategies to support emotional regulation and grounding. Sessions are collaborative, practical, and paced with care. My goal is for you to leave therapy with tools you can use outside of session to calm your body, manage what comes up, and respond with greater clarity and self-compassion. Healing does not require reliving everything you've been through.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing is possible for everyone, and that growth can happen at any stage of life. Mental health challenges often come from coping patterns we’ve learned over time, but that also means they can be unlearned and replaced with healthier ways of being. I’m a mother, former teen mom, the oldest daughter and first grandchild, and an End-of-Life doula who has walked through my own mental health challenges, including a traumatic birth, and found healing through therapy. That journey inspired me to become the counselor I wished I had when I was younger. I love anime, good burgers, and laid-back evenings with family and friends. I stand for equity, inclusion, and accessible mental health care, and I aspire to always create spaces where everyone feels seen, supported, empowered to be their authentic self and respected.
