My Background and Approach
Many of the patterns that influence our emotions, relationships, and reactions developed over time, often as ways to adapt or cope. In therapy we can begin to notice these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. As they become clearer, it becomes possible to respond differently. These patterns are not only cognitive, they are often reflected in the body, in nervous system responses, emotional reactions, and physical sensations. Developing insight into these patterns can open the door to deeper change. Using both introspective and active skills based methods, I offer therapy that’s real and human. Authentic connection, laughter, occasional swearing, and space for the messy, unfiltered parts of you, and the thoughts you hesitate to say out loud.
