About My Clients
My clients typically have complex trauma and/or are figuring out who they are. I work with clients who need support with processing trauma, regulating their emotions, restructuring their thoughts, exploring their identity, navigating relationships, and coping with stress. I work with clients from the ages of 12-72 years old and who come from different backgrounds. I do not discriminate against race, religion, gender, or sexuality.
My Background and Approach
I graduated with my Master's in Counseling in 2022. I have experience working with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, BPD, Bipolar Disorder, low self-esteem, relationship conflicts, and complex trauma. I specialize in working with teens and adults. I use interventions and approaches from different therapeutic modalities: cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and reality/choice therapy are most common. I maintain a positive therapeutic relationship that gives you the space to be authentic and vulnerable. We will increase coping skills and develop new insights. We will process the past, work on enhancing the present, and look forward to the future.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone deserves a safe space and that everyone heals differently. There is not a one size fits all approach and I believe in the importance of truly tailoring treatment for each individual. I look at clients as people who are on a journey of growth and healing, not as "patients." You are an expert of your own life experiences and I am here to help you navigate them. I believe that human rights are a necessity for every person and that violating someone's rights based on race, religion, gender sexuality, or citizenship status is deplorable. I am advocate for those who are marginalized and experiencing oppression. I do not act like I know it all and I am always open to learn more about you, your experiences, and your identity.
