About My Clients
I work with engaged couples getting ready for marriage, newlyweds figuring out year one, and established couples who want to grow. If you want a coach who takes faith seriously and also knows the research, you're in the right place. I use Prepare/Enrich, SYMBIS, and Gottman-informed tools to help couples build communication, handle conflict, and create something that actually lasts. Virtual sessions available everywhere. In-person in DFW.
My Background and Approach
I'm a certified Prepare/Enrich and SYMBIS facilitator, doctoral candidate at Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Social Studies teacher in Dallas ISD. Before all of that I was a production assistant at ESPN, which taught me something I use every day: the best communicators don't just talk, they actually understand their audience. That's how I coach. I'm not here to lecture you about marriage. I'm here to help you understand each other better, build tools you'll actually use, and create a relationship worth building toward. My approach is Socratic, not prescriptive. I ask more than I tell. Faith is central to how I work, but I meet couples wherever they are spiritually. Scripture informs everything, and the research backs it up. Couples who do this work before and during marriage are more connected, more resilient, and better equipped for the hard seasons.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a Christian and that's not a footnote in my coaching, it's the foundation. I'm also a Dallas ISD public school teacher, which means I've learned how to meet people where they are and make hard things accessible. I believe marriage is a covenant, not a contract, and I believe the Church has historically been better at telling people what not to do than giving them practical tools for what to do instead. That's the gap I want to help close. Outside of coaching I'm working on a doctorate in Educational Ministry at Dallas Theological Seminary. I'm also a wedding officiant through Covenant + Co. I believe deeply in the work of marriage preparation and ongoing marriage investment, and I want to be part of making that more accessible for couples in DFW and beyond.
