About My Clients
People I work with often come to treatment as a way of opening something up in life. We try to move something in ourselves but struggle to. There is trouble in relating to others, unrealness, unaliveness, purposelessness, and meaninglessness. They seek another that can sit with them in the experience of opening. Opening can be enlivening, but it can also be accompanied by pain. That pain, once overwhelming, becomes shared through the experience of the relationship forged in the consulting room.
My Background and Approach
I am a psychoanalytic therapist in private practice. I have been doing this work for about 7 years, constantly engaged in learning and deepening my experience. I attended undergrad at University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, earning a bachelor's degree in psychology. I moved to Seattle shortly thereafter, to pursue a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am fully licensed by the state of Washington, and have begun my work in clinical supervision for associate licensed therapists. I continue to seek consultation and research on psychoanalysis, as it is a rich and deep theoretical methodology.
