About My Clients
My work with clients is personal, vulnerable, and collaborative. My clients know I am invested in them and their work. They know they can count on me to be real with them. They know I offer them support and honesty from a place of authenticity and empathy. I don't pretend to have all the answers. Together we work as a team to better understand your emotions and help you cope with life's stressors.
My Background and Approach
I draw from a variety of theories to meet you where you're at, including attachment theory — how our childhood shapes our relationship styles, and how understanding yours can help you build the relationships you actually want. I also specialize in trauma work using EMDR. I'm also passionate about Gottman method couples therapy (Level 1 trained), which I use with both couples and individuals to help cultivate more meaning in your relationships. I draw on somatic, body-based approaches too — a lot of what we carry doesn't live in our thoughts alone, it lives in our bodies. I'll often ask what you're noticing in your body, not just what you're thinking. I work most often with moms and couples, and much of my own life shows up in how I show up for my clients — including navigating ADHD, motherhood, and the pull between wanting to do it all and needing to actually rest. I don't just understand these patterns clinically. I've lived them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Being seen is terrifying. So many of us were taught to be easy — easy to please, easy to get along with, careful not to take up too much space. We got good at showing the world our success while hiding the parts we were sure were too much, too messy, or too hard to look at. Here's what I've learned, both as a therapist and as a person: the things you think are unforgivable about yourself are almost always just human things. You're not broken. You're just human, and being human is hard. Asking for help isn't weakness, it's one of the bravest things you can do — I believe that fully, and I've done it myself. My work is about building a space where you can actually be seen: the parts you're proud of and the parts you've been hiding, without either one scaring me off. When that happens, something shifts. You stop performing and start actually being present in your own life. I'd love to help you get there.
