I am a Registered Art Therapist. I use artwork with my clients to help them to externalize what they are going through so that we can use creativity to elicit change. By using art a client uses the right side of the brain and unconscious to find alternative solutions to issues. When you just talk about what you are struggling with it is easier to stay stuck in the problem. It is a fun and insightful way to learn how to find solutions and create containment for the client.
If you struggle with anxiety I can help you to learn to work envision your anxiety differently. Working somatically, I help clients to reconnect to their bodies and breath to help them to manage their anxiety. We will also work with art to externalize this anxiety and see it as something that visits you but that it is not you.
If you have historical trauma/ intergenerational trauma that continues to haunt you and you would like to work through it. Art therapy and energy medicine can be very helpful in addressing and releasing historical trauma. I work with my clients to create a safe space and give them tools so that we can address old traumas in a kind and gentle way that respects your body, mind and spirit.
If you have trouble with needing to externally focus on other and have a hard time focusing on and caring for yourself, I can help. I have worked with many individuals to help them to reconnect with their wants, needs and learn to keep the focus on themselves. Codependenc
