About My Clients

You're trying to hold it all together, but you're exhausted. Living with chronic illness or trauma often means minimizing your needs, over-functioning, or struggling to express what you really feel. Maybe you say yes when you mean no, feel anxious when setting boundaries, or feel guilty putting yourself first. I specialize in chronic illness, trauma, and codependency, helping clients navigate the emotional, physical, and relational weight of these experiences.

My Background and Approach

I offer a supportive and collaborative approach, balancing validation with challenging ineffective thought and behavior patterns. Trained in The Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), I use a blend of somatic experiencing and parts-work to help my client's tap into why they do the things they do. In other words, when we get the "Yes, but ..." When we know something is ineffective, yet we just can’t seem to stop. Parts work helps to shine a light on the driving reasons behind problematic thoughts and behaviors to bring about change. Using a trauma informed lens, I focus on helping my clients to regulate their nervous system activation: the flight, fight, freeze, fawn responses. By labeling and identifying emotions, client's will be able to manage and regulate these feelings and stop feeling hijacked by them. I also have extensive experience working with chronic illness and helping clients to better understand symptom development and rediscover a meaningful quality of life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that you are the expert in your own life. As a therapist, I'm passionate about helping people rediscover their purpose, passions, and core self. I understand that the best marker for change comes from the therapeutic relationship. Because of this, I aim to build a strong connection with my clients so that they feel seen, comforted, and supported. Change happens through feeling valued and feeling a sense of belonging. I constantly strive to make the therapeutic space a welcoming place for my clients to feel valued, supported, and accepted.
