About My Clients
As an EMDR-trained trauma therapist I support teens, adults, and couples get un-stuck. I help teens ages 16+ with identity development, low self-esteem, and emotion regulation. I partner with adults working through complex trauma, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, codependency, and family of origin issues. I work with couples processing relational conflict and communication issues. I am also passionate about working with members of multicultural and multiracial communities.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, somatic and attachment focused eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, and solution-focused therapy. My eclectic use of treatment modalities encourages the client to build awareness about how past events and relationships affect their current beliefs and behaviors. My clinical training is focused on treating complex trauma, relationship conflict, emotional/mood instability, adversity related to racial, cultural, or gender identity, and family of origin dysfunction in a compassion-filled, authentic, collaborative, and affirming therapeutic environment.
