I have experience treating adults who are struggling with their relationships, healing from inter-generation trauma, going through a difficult life or role transition, struggling with low self-esteem, and/or dealing with depression/anxiety.
My Background and Approach
There are times when we feel overwhelmed, trapped and life feels out of control. I want you to know that you are not alone. It's okay to feel anxiety, loneliness, sadness or worry at times. Maybe you just feel invisible, not valued, or feel the pressure of trying to please everyone at work and at home. You may be going through a life transition such as a new job, new relationship, becoming a parent or maybe you are having difficulties in your current relationship. Life can get messy and I get it. I want to help you untangle those messy moments to be able to bounce back from the chaos and change the way that you cope. I provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment to help you navigate through internal conflict and daily problems.I approach treatment from a Trauma-Informed, Cognitive Behavioral, Culturally Competent, and problem solving perspective, providing guidance and offering tools to help you along the way. We will tailor to your specific situation.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am the owner & creator of Imperfect Mellow therapy, where I believe that it is okay to be a “mess” sometimes even in our healing journey. I have overcome my own life challenges and believe that through our struggles we build resiliency. I have been through my own adversities so understand what it feels like to feel like things will never get better. But they can.
