About My Clients
Together we will work through the challenges you are facing. Change can be difficult and you don't have to go through it alone. Congrats on taking the first big step in your healing. I specialize in working with strong individuals who have faced some tough situations: divorce, abuse, major life changes and even the loss of a spouse or parent. I also am a therapist supporting Law Enforcement Officers (LEO) and First Responders. I have a heart to work with this population and their families.
My Background and Approach
I became a therapist because I have a passion to serve others. I felt called to therapy and have loved it ever since. I enjoy being a part of my client's growth and healing. My goal is to help you become the best version of yourself. I take a collaborative approach. It is not my role to tell you what to think or how to feel. My role is to help you set goals for your mental health and help you achieve those goals. In other words, if you are feeling stuck or unable to move forward after a loss, we could work on becoming unstuck or finding a way to emotionally "move on".
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Christian, a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. Family is sacred and a key component in my life and in my own mental health. I have a loving and supportive church home that I value more than words can say. I have many pets, and they are all rescues. I love having animals in my life and look forward to having more. I am a previous foster mom, an advocate for domestic violence survivors, and I crochet scarfs for the homeless. Supporting and protecting these underserved populations is important to me. Life is precious. I respect the right of other people to hold different beliefs and views than my own. I will meet you where you are with acceptance and support. I am proud to be a Texan and an American. I value the American Dream and all that goes with it.
