About My Clients
My clients are those who are looking to engage in the therapy process and understand that therapy is about self change as well as a sacred journey we embark on together. My clients like my sense of humor and my down to earth and direct approach. Many of my clients come to me because previous therapy hasn’t gotten them where they want to be in their healing. We take it to the next level of inner healing through the use of advanced techniques in treating trauma, mood disorders, etc.
My Background and Approach
I have over 35 years experience in the behavioral health field. I use a number of different approaches in my practice but focus mostly on the advanced techniques of EMDR and ego state therapy (similar to IFS). I’m trained in DBT skills training, working with dissociative disorders, insomnia, chronic pain, panic/phobias, spiritual trauma, and others. I’m level 1 trained in the Gottman Model for couples therapy. I’m a spiritually integrated therapist who can incorporate your spirituality into the therapy process if you so choose.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a mom and best of all, a grandma. There is nothing more important to me than my family and my friends. I strongly believe that love heals and that life is about relationships. I have moved around the country a lot and have been exposed to different cultural experiences through those moves. I am LGBTQ and BIPOC friendly and validating. I have a good deal of experience working with different faith groups. I have a strong spiritual faith myself. I love art and to have fun. My husband and I ride a Harley and my favorite thing to do is travel across country on the motorcycle. I love to experience new places and the cultural in those places.
