About My Clients
I support individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected—particularly those navigating the effects of complex trauma or patterns of codependency. You may find yourself prioritizing others’ needs over your own, struggling with boundaries, or feeling caught in repeating relationship dynamics that leave you drained or uncertain. Together, we work to gently explore these patterns and their roots, building greater self-understanding, self-compassion, and a stronger sense of personal agency.
My Background and Approach
I take an integrative approach, drawing most often from psychodynamic psychotherapy, relational frameworks, attachment theory, and cognitive-behavioral approaches. In sessions, we may explore how your personal history and unconscious patterns shape your thoughts, emotions, and relationships. We may also develop practical strategies to better support daily living. At the beginning of treatment we will explore goals for therapy and establish treatment objectives together. In practice this may look like easing day-to-day symptoms, strengthening self-compassion and self-esteem, and developing skills such as assertiveness and boundary-setting. I draw from my experience and expertise treating complex trauma, codependency, sexual difficulties, perinatal adjustment, anxiety, depression, and burnout. Each client receives an individualized approach catered to the complexity of their internal world and their unique lived experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that many of us are socialized not to know ourselves, how we feel, or what we think. I believe in the importance of breaking down the constructs of what it means to be 'normal' and really interrogating who we see ourselves as now vs. who we want to be. I have worked with many different populations across a number of healthcare settings including clinics, private practice, and out patient mental health care. I rely on a framework of intersectionality to understand the complexities that make up each client that I see. I, too, am a complicated human with intersecting identities. I believe our individual uniqueness is where we have the the most opportunity to find joy, freedom, and peace.
