About My Clients
You are not alone. We often struggle with feeling less than and vulnerable. My focus as a therapist is to help you understand that everyone has strengths and weaknesses and to help you gain confidence in your own ability to handle the challenges that are apart of life. My clients often are looking for someone to listen and acknowledge their pain of losses, traumas and anxieties . One must understand how these events have affected your past behaviors and then you can learn new ways to cope.
My Background and Approach
My education as a clinical social worker has given me my foundation and hundreds of clients and many years of experience have helped me understand that the past has shaped us today. In therapy, I assist you in understanding how your own life story has impacted your behaviors and I encourage you to offer compassion to yourself for handling these challenges the best you could at the time. Then with this insight , a change in perspective is possible and new alternative behaviors can be considered for the future. As a hypnotherapist , I have assisted clients in processing old traumas, while establishing some new affirmations. I have encouraged self care with all my clients and explored some techniques like meditation and visualization to assist with focus and self calming. Through one on one counseling, hypnotherapy , and group retreats, I will walk along side of you as you providing guidance as you journey to a positive future.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It is my belief that mental health exists on a continuum and that that we all can benefit from someone to talk with who is non judge mental and who can often see more clearly how we are getting in our own way. It is only when we feel safe that we can truly be vulnerable and express our greatest fears , admitting out loud to another what we have often been afraid to admit to ourselves.
