Anxiety might look like excessive fear, nervousness, or shyness that gets in the way of daily life to the point that you or your child may avoid certain places and activities. Sometimes anxiety may develop into panic attacks or obsessive thoughts and behaviors. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults with anxiety, GAD, OCD, phobias and other types of anxiety. I can help clients learn to better understand their bodies' stress response and tools to help with their anxiety.

Parenting today can feel equal parts fulfilling and frustrating. In my work, I have helped parents find strategies and solutions that work for each family. These strategies address how to set limits and boundaries, how to build the parent-child connection, help with co-parenting strategies, breaking unhealthy communication patterns and using positive reinforcement strategies.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a treatment approach that focuses on how our thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect our feelings and behaviors. Together we will find ways to build awareness of negative thought patterns and learn ways to reframe those thoughts. This treatment helps to build confidence and face fears instead of avoiding them.

Art therapy is a treatment approach that combines psychotherapeutic tools with a creative process, such as drawing, painting, or mixed media, to improve overall well-being. I am a registered art therapist (ATR) who has a deep understanding of how the creative process is an integral part of the therapeutic process.

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy is a type of CBT therapy that helps individuals confront thoughts, objects, and situations that make them feel anxious and then learn how to NOT perform a compulsive behavior in response. It is one of the most effective treatments for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), and phobias. I have been trained in ERP and have practiced it with children, adolescents, and their families.

There are many strengths that often get overlooked with having ADHD, including creativity, problem-solving, and spontaneity. In my work helping individuals with ADHD, I focus on highlighting these strengths and learning ways to handle the challenges. We will focus on tools that help with difficulty focusing, restlessness, and impulsive behavior. We will work together to strengthen executive functioning skills like time management and organization while celebrating your strengths.
