About My Clients
Each person comes to treatment because they are doing their best, but might need a little extra help solving problems in their lives. We all have an inbuilt tendency towards growth and fulfillment.
My Background and Approach
Originally from Southern CA, I began clinical practice in LA after attending the USC School of Social Work. Since 2014 I have lived in the Bay Area and treated adults private healthcare settings through Kaiser Permanente and the San Francisco Stress and Anxiety Center. I gained my ten years of experience in social work in consultation-rich, demanding and quickly evolving environments that made me very comfortable providing short-term, evidence based treatment with diverse populations. Many of my current clients work for well-known tech companies, so I know the unique presentation of clients who work in demanding environments in the specific culture of Bay Area tech. I can help if you're struggling with imposter syndrome, perfectionism, stress, and anxiety.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe all therapy must be rooted in evidence-based treatment. I tend to use mindfulness-based treatment, emphasizing fierce self-compassion. Each person is unique, so we work together to see which approach fits best. I have experience in using dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I approach each client with an attitude of cultural humility. I am Body Positivity focused, Queer Allied, Racial Justice Allied, and a feminist.
