About My Clients
My clients often look capable and put together on the outside but feel anxious, exhausted, or stuck underneath. You may replay conversations, fear someone is pulling away, people-please to keep the peace, shut down when overwhelmed, or understand your patterns but still struggle to change them. I work with adults navigating trauma, attachment wounds, relationship issues, anxiety, ADHD, postpartum depression, and major life transitions.
My Background and Approach
My approach is warm, honest, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I draw from attachment-focused, psychodynamic, IFS-informed, somatic, and person-centered approaches. I am especially interested in the gap between what we understand intellectually and what we are actually able to feel, trust, and live from. Therapy with me is not about forcing you into a particular model or giving you generic advice. We slow things down, look beneath the surface, and make sense of the emotions, relationships, protective strategies, and past experiences that continue to shape how you respond today. My goal is not only to help you understand yourself better, but to help that understanding begin to feel different in your actual life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe many of the patterns we struggle with began as ways of adapting, protecting ourselves, or staying connected to the people around us. Even when those patterns no longer serve us, they often make sense in the context of what we have lived through. I believe therapy should make room for complexity rather than reducing people to symptoms or diagnoses. I value honesty, curiosity, humor, and a therapeutic relationship where you do not have to perform or have the “right” words. I am especially interested in attachment, relationships, identity, trauma, and the ways our earliest experiences continue to shape how we see ourselves and connect with others.
