About My Clients
Do you find yourself overthinking everything, feeling anxious or emotionally overwhelmed, or struggling to understand what you're even feeling? Maybe you've spent years putting everyone else's needs before your own, walking on eggshells, or trying to keep the peace. You may understand that your past still affects you, but feel stuck in patterns you can't seem to break. I can help you make sense of your emotions, understand where these patterns came from, reconnect with yourself & learn to cope.
My Background and Approach
I believe therapy should be more than simply talking about what's wrong—it should help you understand yourself and give you tools you can actually use in everyday life. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and collaborative, drawing from psychodynamic, person-centered, Adlerian, CBT, DBT, attachment, and family systems perspectives. We'll explore how past experiences may influence the way you see yourself, navigate relationships, respond to emotions, and cope with stress today. We'll also work on practical tools for emotional regulation, anxiety, boundaries, communication, and overwhelm. Some of the tools I use with clients are ones I've learned through my own personal therapy. They've been meaningful in my own life, and I value sharing approaches I've personally experienced—not just learned about academically. My goal isn't to tell you who to be, but to help you understand yourself, reconnect with your needs, and have more choice in how you respond to life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we are all capable of evolving, changing, and growing throughout our lives. The patterns we've developed often made sense at some point in our lives. They may have helped us cope, feel safe, or get through difficult experiences, but what once helped us survive may not always serve us in the same way today. I want to help you make space for your own needs and learn that putting yourself first doesn't mean you're selfish. I've personally experienced being my own worst critic, living with the mental and physical effects of anxiety and stress, and putting others' needs before my own. Therapy gave me a space to explore these patterns, better understand myself, and develop greater self-compassion. I believe you deserve that same space: a place where you can slow down, understand yourself without judgment, reconnect with your needs, and decide what you want to carry forward, and what you're ready to leave behind.
