About My Clients

You may be struggling with existential anxieties, loneliness, or chronic pain, feeling overlooked or dismissed by the health system. Maybe you're working through addiction and are looking for a harm-reduction approach that respects your autonomy. Or perhaps, as an activist or organizer, you’re painfully attuned to the world’s suffering—whether war, animal rights, or genocide. My hope is that our work together fosters insight, deep healing, and a path toward greater authenticity and freedom.

My Background and Approach

It's common for our life stories to feel disjointed at times. Trauma, loss, or shame can make it challenging to integrate difficult experiences into a coherent sense of self. Questions arise: Who am I? What is my purpose? How do I find meaning in the face of uncertainty, anxiety, or loss? My role is to help you explore these questions to help you uncover a peaceful, wise, and empowered part of yourself. I draw upon psychoanalysis, internal family systems and existential psychology. My practice is also grounded in a multicultural and liberatory approach. I consider the systems of oppression in people’s lives. I tend not to see “symptoms” as personal pathology but as a person’s creative way of adapting to stress, trauma, and oppressive life circumstances. My stance is compassionate, non-judgmental and respectful of people’s lived experiences.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in our innate goodness and the power of restorative and transformative justice. We are all doing the best we can with the tools we have, and I hold a deep faith in the human capacity to heal, transforming suffering into compassion that unites and connects us. I see capitalism as a root cause of much of our despair, and I consider organizing—especially labor organizing—to be some of the most important work that can be done to reduce suffering and build a more humane world. I grew up outside of the US. I am a fierce advocate for LGBTQ-affirmative schools. I am committed to anti-racism, animal rights, BLM and stand in solidarity with Palestine.
