About My Clients
Struggling with perfectionism, low self-esteem, or overwhelming anxiety? You’re not alone. Many individuals find it hard to focus, prioritize their own needs, or stop comparing their achievements to others. These patterns can deeply affect your self-worth and lead to increased anxiety, depression, and feelings of inadequacy. I specialize in helping individuals overcome perfectionism, build lasting self-confidence, and address challenges such as disordered eating and eating disorders.
My Background and Approach
I understand that seeking help can be intimidating, exploring hard topics is uncomfortable, and being vulnerable may be a new experience. I focus on motivational enhancement strategies as means to address resistance to change. My treatment approach involves the incorporation of various evidence-based theories and practices; most notably CBT and DBT. A collaborative approach between therapist and client can yield great progress, which I strive to provide. I maintain my clinical skills and knowledge through continued education courses, trainings and professional consultation. I have an undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPCC) in Kentucky and a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a master’s level licensed professional counselor, I can provide a safe, effective platform to work through and support your personal growth. I work together with my clients to reset, recharge and rebuild their sense of self. I am passionate about my work and the gifts therapy can provide. There is no perfect, right, or wrong time to reach out. There is the capacity change at any time in one's life.
