My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2017, worked as a counselor since 2012, and have experience in a variety of mental health and social service roles since 2006. I have been trained in CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and trauma treatment. My approach is warm, supportive, encouraging, non-judgmental. From our first session to our last, I aim to create a space where you feel accepted, heard, and seen just as you are and right where you are in the midst of whatever you are facing and experiencing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all deserve to be respected, seen, and appreciated for who we are. We all have our strengths and our struggles, no one is better than or above anyone else, no one is immune to the hurts and difficulties in this life. I volunteer at a foodbank and teach English as a second language, hoping to give back and make a small difference in the lives of the hurting, striving to show care and love to the people around me.
