About My Clients
I work with adults in various stages of their life. I primarily work with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community, disabled people, neurodivergent people, people recovering from eating disorders and religious trauma, and people wanting to heal their relationship to their body. I treat anxiety, depression, trauma related disorders, and can work with people that have experience with or are currently receiving eating disorder treatment.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Somatic, and Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT). I work at a queer and neurodivergent affirming group practice based in Northern Colorado. I am a pre-licensed therapist working toward full licensure. I graduated from Naropa University in May of 2024. Here are some of the approaches I work from: mindfulness and humanistic based therapy, somatic and dance/movement therapy (which can include art, writing, and tarot/oracle cards), fat and body liberation (also HAES aligned), social model of disability framework, and harm reduction Please note that I am only accepting virtual clients and will handle scheduling via text or email.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify as queer and trans myself and I am passionate about working with our community in a therapeutic capacity as well as through community support. I am neurodivergent and also passionate about pursuing continued research on changing the social dynamics of how we talk about and treat neurodivergence, focusing on a person-centered view. I am aligned with the current movements we are facing that are pro returning power back to oppressed persons and ending global violence (i.e. land back, acab, BLM, Free Palestine, etc.)
