About My Clients
I provide services to Toddlers, Children (6 to 10), Preteen, Teen and Adults I am a passionate and dedicated licensed social worker with expertise working with children and adolescents to learn techniques and tools to help them lead happy and healthy lives.
My Background and Approach
My specialty areas include anxiety management, behavior modification, emotional regulation, trauma, aggression, ADHD, effective communication and oppositional defiance. I take great pride in working with children and adolescents while understanding the level of care and gentleness that is involved with working with this population. I earned both my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Criminology and my Masters's Degree in Social Work from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I have gained expert knowledge, experience and research from multiple prestigious internships working in various settings with direct clinical practice such as schools (ages 0-12 years), outpatient care, court settings (drug court, family court, criminal court), rehabilitation with the previously incarcerated population and intensive in-home therapy. I am also a domestic violence and offender reentry advocate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My passion is working with clients, as a team, to establish specific goals and areas we would like to work towards. I understand the difficulty, as well as any personal feelings that come along with attending therapy; I empower and commend ALL individuals on their journey to self improvement! I value the importance of a client-therapist relationship and create a safe, comfortable, holistic & judgment free place for clients to share anything that's on their mind!
