My Background and Approach
I will create a safe space for you and be a guide along your road to self-healing and mental wellness. I will help you learn ways to address the thoughts and behaviors that get in your way. I have a lot of life experience which enhances my ability to empathize. My desire is for you to feel empowered. I believe we each have all we need inside of us; we just need some help connecting with our true selves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Mental wellness is something I care deeply about. I struggled with perfectionism and depression for years. I am not the same person I used to be and that is in large part due to counseling. We are all capable of change no matter our age or what we have been through. Therapy can help us understand what the underlying causes are of our unhappiness. It can help us see ourselves in a compassionate light and make peace with our past. People have a need to be seen and heard, therapy provides a place for this to happen.
