I have experience working in an inpatient hospital dealing mostly with clients dealing with suicidal thoughts/attempts and self-harm.

I have experience working with clients that deal with depression. I believe taking it one day at a time with those suffering with depression and focusing on finding small joys and goals in life. A lot of my work is focused in person center approach and allowing the client to take the lead in our sessions and meeting you where you are at with what you want to disclose and work on.

I have experience working with clients that face all sorts of anxiety for general anxiety, social anxiety, and separation anxiety and everything in-between. I focus on making our sessions non-judgmental and exploring strategies for coping, growth, and building resilience

I rely a lot on DBT therapy where I can teach you being fully present in the moment, teaching sills to tolerate accept, and survive crises without engaging in harmful behaviors, provide tools to understand, label, and manage intense emotions which helps reduce vulnerability to painful emotional swings, and focus on communicating needs, setting boundaries, and navigating conflicts effectively while maintaining self-respect and relationships.

I use CBT to help reframe negative thinking patterns that individuals tend to have. As humans, we are naturally more negative on ourselves, and it is difficult to be positive. I like to focus on any positive aspects that may be going on in life, and being more positive and kind to ourselves.

I use a lot of ACT which focuses on accepting yourself and really getting to know who you are. This can entail being fully aware of and engaging with the present moment, rather than living in the past or fearing the future, making room for and embracing painful feelings, urges, and sensation, allowing them to come and go without fighting them, identifying what truly matters in life (core principles or desired qualities).
