About My Clients
I specialize in working with adults in recovery who are ready for the next stage of healing. Together, we address anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and questions of identity that often emerge once sobriety is established. While I specialize in supporting people who have built a foundation in recovery, I also work with adults seeking deeper healing and greater fulfillment in many areas of life. I provide individual telehealth therapy for adults throughout Massachusetts.
My Background and Approach
I am a queer, white, female therapist. I earned my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University and have worked with diverse populations throughout my career, including LGBTQ+ individuals and communities. My experience includes substance use, relapse prevention, anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, and navigating the pressures and expectations society places on us. I work from an feminist ecological perspective, which means I believe our experiences are shaped not only by our individual choices and circumstances, but also by our relationships, communities, cultures, and larger social systems. Understanding those influences can be an important part of healing and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy works best when it is grounded in genuine human connection. My goal is to create a space where you feel respected, supported, and empowered to continue building the life you want for yourself. I believe humor has a place in therapy and often laughter helps us make it through the day. I believe in the healing power of community. I believe that Deep Space 9 is the best Star Trek series.
