Accepting Clients

Authentic, genuine, transparent, real. I believe the therapy experience should be like that. I aim to create this environment for clients.

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in High Point, NC

About My Clients

I have a very personalized approach to therapy and work with clients right where they are in that moment. Whether it be times of transition, grief, growth, discovery, pre/post-partum, burnout or compassion fatigue. Sometimes we just need a neutral third party to hear our own voice clearly, someone to just sit with us as we work through the stuff of life. A place where you are welcome where ever you may find yourself in life.

My Background and Approach

Marriage and Family Therapists are systemically trained professionals. We approach things by looking at all the parts and pieces that impact you on a daily basis and provide a more holistic approach to therapy. I specialize in narrative and solution focused techniques which aim to help the client redefine their own story, define the problem outside of themselves and work to create the life and story they recognize deep in their own self by finding or creating solutions to what is bringing them to therapy. I have specific training and experience as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level 2. I have worked with survivors of human trafficking, refugee and immigrant populations, issues related to deportation and family separation, multi-generational family dynamics, chronic pain, depression and anxiety, life transitions and adjustment, pre-natal and post-partum clients, spirituality, and individuals just seeking a safe place to soul search.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a Christian and am welcoming to those of other faiths. Part of why I am a therapist is because I believe all people hold value, worth, and should feel heard and accepted as they are. Life is hard. And no one holds all the answers. But I believe being as open, real, and honest with ourselves as we possibly can allows us to build connections with others because we work to know ourselves better in this way. I am a justice oriented therapist whether that be fighting for justice in your community or seeking to experience that justice from something held deep within.
