Associate Clinical Social Worker in Seattle, WA

I completed training in ACT because it built so well on the foundations of yoga-based therapy, mindfulness, and behavior change that I had been practicing for years.
In addition to completing coaching certification programs, I have worked with individuals in organizations and in private practice to transform their lives by transforming themselves.
In addition to studying somatic healing modalities, my therapy practice is grounded in my own yoga practice, as well as training in yoga-based therapy models. Our bodies are essential to integrating trauma, navigating challenging situations, and creating new habits that support our well-being.
Over twenty years ago, I chose to get my degree in Social Work because the code of ethics spells out social justice as a core tenet of our practice. I believe that our identities affect our lived experiences and those dynamics need to be integrated into any healing process.
For over twenty years, I've worked on issues of racial and social justice, with an emphasis on helping white people develop a healthy racial and ethnic identity that includes interrupting white supremacy culture. I combine compassion with self-responsibility to create a space for healing, learning, and unlearning.
