About My Clients
Anxiety can look like many different things. Staying up all night worrying about the next day, going back over the decisions you made or the conversations you had and not able to turn your mind off can contribute to us feeling restless, losing sleep and unsure of ourselves You might struggle with conflict with other people or feel insecure in your current relationship. I work with cients experiencing various types of anxiety, including OCD, phobias and social anxiety.
My Background and Approach
I work with clients to become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so they can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way. I help clients learn to identify and then change the way they think and replace it with more realistic and positive thinking. Our thoughts guide our emotions and our emotions guide our actions. Changing our thoughts can literally change our life. Along with changing the underlying thoughts that influence our anxiety, I use exposure to treat anxiety and help clients feel more comfortable with the uncomfortable. I've been trained in ERP, CPT, PE, CBT-I and CBT.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that each person is uniquely amazing. My favorite part of therapy is when clients learn to let go of the limiting beliefs about themselves and and learn to be happy with their true self.
