About My Clients
I have experience working with clients on depression, anxiety, trauma, body image, self-esteem, perfectionism, and navigating the world as a neurodivergent person. I work with clients ages 10 and up.
My Background and Approach
I studied art therapy and counseling in a masters program at Adler University in Chicago, where I learned how various art materials and techniques can be used to help clients understand and navigate mental health challenges. Adler University's strong focus on social justice issues and Adlerian theory taught me the importance of understanding the social context clients exist in and helping them develop and strengthen their connections to their community. I am licensed in the state of Wisconsin as a Licensed Professional Counselor-In Training (LPC-IT). This level of licensure means I work with a supervisor to ensure I'm providing the best services. I am nearing eligibility to apply for the full LPC. I am also licensed in Wisconsin as an Art Therapist and credentialed with the Art Therapy Credentials Board as a Registered Art Therapist - Provisional (ATR-P).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that making art and being creative are inherently healing, whether you are a skilled artist or have not made art since you were a young child. I am a part of LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities. I believe in supporting people of all backgrounds and beliefs.
