My goal is to help you work towards greater self-understanding, acceptance, and empowerment in today's uncertain world.
My Background and Approach
My goal is to support you as you increase self-understanding and develop a greater sense of confidence and flexibility in life. With a Masters in Fine Arts and professional experience in theater and higher education, Carolyn is currently a clinical intern earning a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. My style is an integrated approach, pulling from cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and gestalt techniques. I bring an appreciation of creativity and storytelling that can help you harness your unique strengths to imagine and pursue new possibilities, and leave behind that feeling of being "stuck."
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that mental health care should be available and accessible for all. I also believe that there is not a "one-size-fits-all" definition of mental wellness--everyone gets to determine this for themselves and their own lives. There are many nontraditional ways of living that can be extremely gratifying for people, and I value that freedom for people to be themselves. My goal is to meet you where you are and then support you ON YOUR OWN PATH. You know yourself best.
