About My Clients
I focus on offering support and validation in addition to build skills for people to learn to manage stress, symptoms of anxiety and depression, avoidance, relationship-based issues, difficulty transitioning to college. Additionally, I work with more severe issues such as self-harm, suicidal ideation, disordered eating, school avoidance and substance abuse.
My Background and Approach
I am an expert in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The Behavioral Therapy Collective is one of the few adherent DBT centers in NY and NJ.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a social worker I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every individual, and I am committed to advocating for social justice, equality, and human rights. My work is guided by principles of empathy, compassion, and respect for diversity. I stand in solidarity with marginalized communities, including but not limited to the LGBTQ+ community, the Black Lives Matter movement, immigrants and refugees. I recognize the intersecting systems of oppression that impact people's lives and strive to address these systemic barriers through advocacy, education, and empowerment.
