About My Clients

Are you a parent feeling overwhelmed by your child’s big emotions, anxiety, or behavioral challenges? Maybe you’re constantly worrying if you’re responding the “right” way, or finding that parenting is bringing up stress, guilt, or anxiety of your own. I work best with parents of young children, as well as moms navigating anxiety or ADHD, who want support, clarity, and practical tools to feel more confident and grounded in their parenting.

My Background and Approach

My work is grounded in evidence-based therapy and a deep understanding of how parenting and emotional health intersect. I am trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an approach for parents of children ages 2–7 that focuses on strengthening connection while supporting emotional regulation and behavior change. I also use EMDR to support parents and older children working through anxiety and emotional overwhelm. I take a mindful, practical, and strength-based approach. Rather than focusing on doing things “perfectly,” I help parents understand what is driving their child’s behavior and respond with clarity and confidence. When working with parents individually, we often explore how stress, anxiety, or past experiences show up in parenting so you can feel more grounded and present. My goal is for you to leave therapy with tools that fit real life, greater trust in yourself as a parent, and a clearer sense of how to support your child while also taking care of you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe parenting becomes more effective and more compassionate when parents are supported in understanding their own emotional responses. When parents feel less triggered and more grounded, they are better able to respond thoughtfully rather than react out of stress or fear. I value approaches that emphasize connection, emotional awareness, and realistic expectations rather than perfection. I believe children do best when their emotions are taken seriously and when the adults around them feel confident and supported. I also believe that parents deserve care and understanding as they navigate their own feelings alongside their child’s needs. I work with families of all races, sexual orientations, and family structures, including same-sex and poly families. My goal is to provide a space where clients feel respected, understood, and supported exactly as they are.
