About My Clients
I have experience working with a wide range of clinical issues. My passion involves working with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, adjusting to life transitions, interpersonal concerns, and trauma. I utilize a strengths-based approach, highlighting client resiliency, that includes treatment modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
My Background and Approach
I received my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of San Diego. I have spent my career working in a variety of mental health settings including outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential treatment. I view therapy as a collaborative process where clients can learn skills to manage emotions, build healthy relationships, and create a sense of meaning and purpose in life. My approach involves creating a space where each client feels both seen and heard, in a relaxed and non-judgmental environment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe each client is the expert on their life experiences and aim to provide a safe and supportive setting that allows each client to make progress toward their therapeutic goals
