About My Clients
I specialize in supporting adoptees and others navigating identity, belonging, family relationships, grief and loss, attachment wounds, and life transitions. I also work with anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, and the impact of difficult life experiences, and offer relationship and group counseling as well.
My Background and Approach
As an adoptee, I bring both personal and professional understanding to this work. In addition to my clinical training, I have volunteer and advocacy experience supporting adoptees and adoptee-centered reform efforts. This perspective informs my commitment to providing care that is informed, affirming, and responsive to the unique needs of adopted adults. For couples, I incorporate principles from The Gottman Method, a research-based approach to strengthening relationships. I also offer Brainspotting, a brain-based, trauma-focused modality that can help process and resolve deeply held emotional and physiological experiences.
