About My Clients
Relationships can be difficult to navigate, both with others and with oneself, and not having the right tools can make a difficult job even more challenging. I primarily work with folks who may be struggling with (C)PTSD (trauma), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), interpersonal relationships, substance use, body image, LGBTQ+ identities, low self-esteem, low self-worth, depression and social anxiety.
My Background and Approach
My approach is eclectic and I draw from a variety of modalities to find what works best for you! I use EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Relational Therapy and more to support you in your journey. I have extensive experience working with BPD, (C)-PTSD, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC populations, in different setting such as inpatient, PHP/IOP and private practice. I value authenticity, respect, honesty and safety, and they shine through my practice and my approach. Although our sessions are all about you, you will see and interact with an authentic person on this side of the screen! My goal is to be able to provide safe healing in our time together with a meaningful therapeutic alliance to foster a supportive environment for growth, learning and processing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Latine therapist who strives to provide culturally responsive therapy. This means being aware of my own biases and background, approaching others with cultural humility and curiosity, while affirming their experiences and identities. Decolonizing therapy is important to me; I do my best to be aware of the oppressive systems in our society and their impact on all of us. These do not go unnoticed or unacknowledged in our therapeutic space.
