About My Clients
My work supports LGBTQIA2S+ people across the spectrum of life experiences. I will help you find your strengths and create new tools for coping with a wide range of issues and challenges, including: gender, sexuality, non-monogamy, race, class, spirituality, disordered eating, trauma, PTSD, anxiety and depression. I support clients with navigating medical transition, and I can provide letters for Gender Affirming Care. Trans people deserve person-centered and trauma-informed community care.
My Background and Approach
We will work together to build a compassionate understanding of your current patterns and behaviors. Making some space to find choice, agency and health amidst the noise and confusion. I am trained in Contemplative Psychology, which means that I believe you are the expert and my job is to help you connect with that voice inside of you that already knows what's best for you. My work is informed by Anti-Racism and Liberation Psychology, so I challenge cultural assumptions and prioritize community-based wisdom and practices. I strive to be humble in my privileged identities and bring the life-experience of my marginalized identities to all of my work. I believe that every challenge is workable and hold that space of possibility for you, even when it is too difficult to do alone.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Many of the manifestations of mental health challenges that queer and trans people struggle with are the result of harmful social systems. When I work with clients, we will look at all the impacts of those systems so we can more clearly see the path to wellness. I will help you define for yourself what health looks like and how to get there.
