About My Clients
Do you feel like you’ve been running on high alert for too long — always trying to stay strong, yet never really at ease? Whether you’re a mom stretched too thin, a teen overwhelmed by pressure, or someone carrying the weight of old trauma, you don’t have to keep holding it all together alone. Together, we’ll find ways to ease the tension, make sense of what you’ve been through, and help life feel a little lighter again.
My Background and Approach
As both a therapist and a mom, I know how overwhelming life can feel when you’re doing your best to hold everything together. Before becoming a mental health counselor, I worked as a school psychologist in Germany. This dual background helps me see each client’s story from multiple perspectives—emotional, developmental, and relational—and understand how past experiences shape how we cope and connect. In therapy, I draw from EMDR, parts work, and psychodynamic approaches to address the deeper roots of pain and trauma, while using tools from ACT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy to build practical coping skills and foster real-world change. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, grounded in ongoing trauma training and research. Together, we’ll combine insight with action so you can feel safe, steady, and confident as you navigate life’s challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing is always possible — no matter where you are in life or what you’ve been through. Growth isn’t about becoming someone new; it’s about remembering who you truly are beneath the stress, loss, and expectations. My own experiences as a mom and as someone who has navigated big life transitions across cultures have shaped how I see people’s strength and resilience. I value authenticity, compassion, and curiosity — and I strive to bring those qualities into every session. Outside of my work, I find peace in nature, hiking the forests of the Pacific Northwest, and spending time with my family. I’m passionate about mental health advocacy, kindness in community, and helping people feel seen and supported just as they are. I believe small steps can lead to profound change — and it’s a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they find their footing again.
