About My Clients
When clients begin therapy, many of them are searching for a space to fully express themselves and to process their struggles. My hope is that you find that here and begin to identify ways to move forward. I work with individuals ages 14 years old and up, and especially enjoy working with those who have experienced trauma and empowering them in the healing process. I believe in the healing power of being fully heard and fully accepted.
My Background and Approach
I have been practicing since 2009 in multiple states. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas and now practice only in this state. I have worked in the community as a home-based provider, community mental health therapist, substance abuse therapist, college counselor, and private practice therapist. Much of my experience has surrounded helping individuals identify core issues and recover from past trauma. There are multiple strategies and techniques available to help someone on their therapeutic journey. The approaches I use most often are pulled from Interpersonal Process Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Feminist Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
